Who is responsible
Straight to Fluency is operated by Moritz Media Group Limited. We are the controller of the personal information used for our website and waitlist: we decide why it is collected and how it is used. Our providers handle hosting, email delivery and other processing for us. Using providers does not transfer our responsibilities to them. We can access subscriber and consent records in our email service.
For privacy questions, to withdraw consent or to exercise your rights, email hello@straighttofluency.com.
Registered business address: Moritz Media Group Limited, Unit 8 Alpha Business Park, Travellers Close, Welham Green, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL9 7NT, United Kingdom.
What this notice covers
This notice covers the public website and premium-app email waitlist. The app is still being developed. This page does not create an app account, take payments, deliver lessons or collect student progress or voice recordings. We will update the app’s privacy information before enabling those services.
What we collect and why
We collect your email address and choice to receive marketing emails about app updates and launch offers. We keep the signup source, submission date, wording version, confirmation status and delivery/unsubscribe records to manage the list and demonstrate consent. The current form does not ask for an age declaration, date of birth, name or payment details. Earlier signup records may contain an adult declaration collected under a previous form version.
We rely on your consent for waitlist marketing. Joining is voluntary; receiving these emails is the purpose of this list and is not a condition of browsing the website. We rely on legitimate interests for proportionate security, abuse prevention, delivery troubleshooting and necessary compliance records.
If you email us, we use your email address, message and any details you choose to supply to respond and handle follow-up. We rely on legitimate interests in answering enquiries. Our providers also process technical information needed to run their services, such as IP addresses, browser/device details, request timestamps, delivery events and security logs. Google Analytics collects additional website-use information only if you allow analytics, as explained below.
Current website and email providers
- Hostinger: public website hosting and business email. Hostinger serves the website and handles the business domain’s incoming email. It processes technical connection/security information, including IP addresses and server logs, and the contents and metadata of messages you send to our contact address. The signup form sends its contents directly from your browser to Sequenzy. See Hostinger’s privacy policy and data processing addendum.
- Sequenzy, provided by Nic Tech Solutions, LLC: waitlist and email. It stores email addresses, submitted consent information, list membership, confirmation status and email-delivery records, and sends confirmation and marketing messages on our behalf. Email open, click and unsubscribe-click analytics are disabled in our settings. Necessary confirmation, delivery, bounce and unsubscribe records still operate. See Sequenzy’s privacy policy and data processing agreement and provider list.
- Google: optional Google Analytics. When you allow analytics, Google receives cookie identifiers and technical/website-use information, such as browser/device details, page visits and approximate location. We do not send waitlist email addresses or form answers to Google Analytics. Advertising consent remains off. See Google’s explanation of partner-site data and privacy policy.
Sequenzy’s published infrastructure providers include PlanetScale (database), Railway (queues/cache), Cloudflare (storage and routing), Amazon Web Services (email transmission), PostHog (service analytics) and Sentry (diagnostics). Their involvement depends on the service being provided. Sequenzy maintains the full list, including providers used only for optional features, in its DPA, Annex 3; listing an optional provider there does not mean this waitlist uses that feature.
Optional community and planned app services
Discord: if you choose to join our separate community, Discord processes account, device and community information under its own privacy policy. Our moderators can see information you share in the community. Joining this waitlist does not create a Discord account or send your signup details to Discord.
Stripe is being configured in test mode for future hosted payments and subscription management. Supabase is proposed for future sign-in and saved progress. Neither receives submissions from this waitlist form. Their production use, data flows and retention will be described before activation. See Stripe’s privacy policy and Supabase’s privacy policy. Using hosted payments would keep full card details with the payment provider; it would not remove our responsibility for account, subscription or other personal information we use.
Confirmation and leaving the list
We use double opt-in: confirm your email before receiving waitlist marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to leave. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew. Joining this list does not subscribe you to our other mailing lists, and we do not sell it or authorise other businesses to use it for their own marketing.
International processing
Our providers and their infrastructure may process information outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. The applicable provider agreements describe transfer arrangements. Sequenzy’s DPA incorporates standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum where required. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep active waitlist information until you unsubscribe, the list closes or 24 months after signup, whichever comes first, unless you give fresh consent. When the waitlist closes, we remove its active contact data within 90 days. App signup, if offered later, will have its own notice.
We may retain minimal suppression information to prevent unwanted marketing and necessary consent records to demonstrate compliance or handle legal claims for as long as needed for those purposes. We keep email enquiries while needed to answer them and resolve follow-up, then remove them unless retention is needed for legal records. Provider backups and technical delivery/security logs follow the provider’s applicable retention schedules. Contact us for details.
Your rights
Subject to the relevant legal conditions, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your data. You can withdraw consent and object to direct marketing or processing based on legitimate interests. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority where applicable. You can contact us first if you would like us to help.
Adults and younger learners
This email waitlist is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Younger learners should ask a parent or guardian to join using the adult’s own email, without supplying the child’s details. We do not currently ask for an age declaration or date of birth. If we learn that a child has supplied their own details, we will stop marketing to them and review removal of their information, subject to any necessary legal records. Using vendors or an adults-only notice does not remove children’s privacy obligations where they apply.
Cookies and analytics choices
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You can reject it and still browse or join the waitlist. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. We remember the choice for six months using necessary browser storage. Analytics cookies are set to expire within six months; Google’s applicable analytics-data retention rules and the property’s settings also apply to collected reports.
